A small auto repair shop in Poland is still using an Commodore C64c. The C64c is being used for balancing drive shafts. And it is in use for more than 25 years!

On the Retrohax web page you can see how to refurbish a Commodore C64. This time Drygol repairs the motherboard, the metal shielding, broken keys from the keyboard and he does a PDWPE (Prolonged Dark Warm Perhydrol Exposure).

Thibaut Varéne is working on the exSID. This device makes it possible to play SID music from a modern PC, but with real SID hardware. Features: 6581 and 8580, 44.1 kHz digis and near cycle-accurate playback.

Dodo is an engine for creating text adventures for the Commodore C64 in BASIC. You can use this program to make your own text adventures, a manual for dodo is included.

Roberto Ricioppo made another SEUCK game for the Commodore C64. In this game you must guide your space ship through the Silicom Tunnel, but watch out for the nasty alien ships.

The Richard Bayliss archive of TND Goat Tracker v2 music is now available. If you want to start making music on the Commodore C64 you can use this archive to experiment with.

Iz8dwf made a video of the repair of a Commodore SX-64 Executive. The problem was a bad Kernel and Chargen ROM. He also modified the user port pins that are reserved for the 9 VAC on a standard C64.

Commander 02 is a new SEUCK game for the Commodore C64 made by Roberto Ricioppo. An evil dictator has captured your comrades. You as Commander 02 must go into the war zone, and fight against the evil dictator.

The SD-BOX is a cartridge with an SD card interface for the Commodore C64. The cartridge has many functions for the disk drive and the Datassette. Recent updates: Added a SID player and several small improvement were implemented.

Freak is building an extra small Commodore C64. He will use original C64 part and add some extra features: Configurable voltages and extra filters for SID and VIC, S-Video output, ESD protection and multiple kernals and character sets.

On the Retrohax web page you can see how to refurbish a Commodore C64. Drygol is refurbishing six Commodore C64 at the same time. He cleans and repairs the plastics parts and the keyboard, and adds a SwinSID NANO and a SD2IEC device to the C64.

JSIDPlay is a Commodore C64, cycle-exact, emulator optimized for SID sound reproduction. It is also a SID player for music collections like HVSC and CGSC. In this version a number of small errors were removed.

The MixSID is a stereo SID board for the Commodore C64. Features: Stereo channel mixer, pragmatic stereo addressing scheme, flexible IO, audio input, output and digiboost circuits, dedicated stereo output, full paddle compatibility and versatile digital control.

The game Shotgun is now available in a deluxe boxed version with a flip cover, 5.25" diskette, printed game manual and 3 extras. The game can be played with four players! In the game you can collect guns and shoot at each other, but each gun only has 3 bullets. It is a very fast game and perfect for a retro or demo party.

The last couple of months there have been updates for Kick Assembler. The recent changes are: Improvement for the pre-processor, assembler Feedback, Scoping, Namespacing, Error Reporting and many more optimisations.

Psytronik Software released a new game for the Commodore C64. In the game you can explore 15 separate pyramids with in total 225 playable levels. The game is made by Michaelangelo Carbonara (code), Raffox (graphics) and Sascha Nagie (music).

Ricardo Quesada developed a character editor for the Commodore 64. The features are: Import, export, rotate, invert, clear, shift to left, right, up and down. Changes in this version: Improvements for Export, Save, Recent Files and Multicolour.

Fort Django is a new game for the Commodore C64. The game has been developed by Dr. TerrorZ. In the game you must shoot the bad guys, collect the bags and find the exit. If you play faster you will get more bonus.

The High Voltage SID Collection is now 20 years! For this occasion a special music collection has been compiled.

There is also an update available of the High Voltage SID Collection. There are now more than 48,500 SIDs in the collection. In this update 1022 new SIDs, 811 fixed/better rips, 791 SID credit fixes, 143 SID model/clock info's, 60 tunes identified and 74 tunes moved. You can download the update from the HVSC web page.


HVSC - Update #65

Wilfred Bos released an update of SID Known. This version is compatible with the latest HVSC (#65). SID Known is a tool which you can use to identify SID tunes from SID and PRG files.

Hein has released an update for his music tool for the Commodore C64. The features are: Main editor: sequencer, patterns, instruments, step and FLO programs. Jam mode: mono, poly or layered. Selection of instruments, song, octave or song speed and a diskette menu.

Regenerator is a program made by Tomaz Kac, that will disassemble a Commodore 64 machine code program on your Windows PC. Changes in this version: Multiple system support, improvements for JMP/JSR and Immediate Load in $00 - $ff.

The CGSC (Compute's Gazette Sid Collection) has had an update. The COMPUTE!'s Sidplayer was a music system, created by Craig Chamberlain and Harry Bratt, for the Commodore 64. The aim of the Compute's Gazette Sid Collection is to preserve as many of those Sidplayer music files in one location as possible. The current collection contains 15311 MUS, 4208 STR and 5224 WDS files.

The C64.com web page had an interview with Karl Hörnell. Karl worked on the following games for the Commodore C64: Fruity, Ronald Rubberduck, Velocipede, Clean-Up, Velocipede II, Fungus, Melonmania, Toad Force and Clean-Up Service.

Telmo Moya replaced the standard 6510 CPU of the Commodore C64 with a dual core CPU. The first core is a 6510 and the second core is a Z80. This makes it possible to use CP|M on the C64 without the original CP|M cartridge.

C64 Studio is a assembly development environment which is dependent on VICE. You can write assembly code and test this with the VICE emulator. Recent changes: Improvements for highlighting, memory information, sprite editor, key mapping, Pi and lots of other smaller improvements.

Thomas developed a new test-system for the Commodore C64. The test-system will be available as a kit: printed circuit board, electronic parts and a EPROM (programmed). The available tests are: C64 Dead Test ROM, C64 Diagnostic ROM, 1541 DIAG (worldofjani.com) and C128 Diagnostic ROM.

Yatzy is a new game for the Commodore C64. The game is made by Ron (code /graphics), Fredrik (music) and shine (graphics). The game can be played with 1 to 4 players.
