Wilfred Bos released an update of his SID player. Improved in this version: Last played file is remembered when ACID 64 is started. Selected file will always be visible. Special characters Ø and ø can now be searched. Escape in search boxes will now select the text. Selecting a search filter will change the color of the filter box. Copy filename strips HVSCRoot automatically. Seeking can now be cancelled (escape). Scrolling search results will now update rows immediately. Arend-Paul Spijkerman released an update of his Amiga web browser. In this update: Higher speed (tripled). Less memory use (halved) and bug fixes. The Merlin browser will run on AmigaOS4 PPC, Amiga 68K, Windows, Apple macintosh and Linux. The browser can be downloaded but it is still beta software at the moment.

The MorphOS team released a new version of their operating system. In the Boot.img there are 10 changes and more than 50 disk components are updated or new. The trail version of MorpOS 2.3 can be downloaded to try out the new system. Visit the MorpOS web page for all the details.

A new version of Plus4IDE, the Commodore Plus/4 Integrated Development Environment is now available. In this version: Better documentation. Re-definable shortcut keys. Window position is remembered. CTRL+TAB allows cycling between tabs. Any editor window can be closed. Comment/uncomment code block works more intuitively. The program can be used on a Windows computer.

NetSurf is a free, open source web browser with CSS support. Changes in this version: Added Window title caption, better pointer support, nicer tool bar icons, home page button and favorite sites panel. To run Netsurf you need: AmigaOS 3.x, Ixemul 61.1 (included) and P96 / CGX.

SVS-Calc 1.0 is a spreadsheet system for the Plus/4. The program is written by Valentino and gives you an intuitive interface, powerful calculation engine, graphics generator, color themes, and much more. You can download the spreadsheet program from the Plus/4 World web page.

The new "Quickfix" package is available for registered users of AmigaOS 4.1. Features include: Improved overall system stability. Fixed shared object handling, Radeon Warp3D graphics drivers. Johan van den Brande wrote a Twitter client for the Commodore C64. To connect to the internet he uses a MMC replay cartridge with the RR-net option. The Twitter program runs on the C64 with the help of the Contiki operating system. If you don't have an MMC replay cartridge with RR-net, you can use the VICE emulator.

Jörg Strohmayer released a new version of his web browser for the Amiga. In this new version: Fixed the progress bar and several cookie bugs. Implemented HTTP authentication. Added support for scrolling with space and backspace, ToolType DOWNLOADDIR, ToolType DISABLEGIFANIMS and Accept-Language. Updated SplashLauncher to version 1.3. Added new toolbar images and updated scripts from Martin Merz.

64COPY is an all-purpose DOS and C64 emulator file manager. It specializes in converting and manipulating emulator files between various formats. 64COPY does file conversions between D64, D71, D81, D80, D82, DNP, D2M, T64, G64, PC64 (Pxx, Sxx, Uxx, Rxx), LNX, DOS binaries, ARC, SDA, X64, LBR, ARK, SPY and CPK files. AMIGIFT is a peer-to-peer filesharing application which can connect to several networks at once by using plug-ins. This is a 100% AmigaOS native application with a full-featured Graphical User Interface. The requirements for AMIGIFT are: Amiga OS3.0 or higher, 68020 CPU (68060 is prefered), 32 MByte RAM, 8 MBytes hard disk space.

The Csabo's graphics editor has been updated to V0.64. This program can be used to make images or logos for the Plus/4 on a PC (Windows). In this version: Preview window added. Screen update optimization for faster performance. PRG file import and export works better, saves extra color information like Multi-Botticelli. A few minor bugfixes.

Claws Mail is an email client based on GTK+. Besides an email program it also has plug-ins, like a calender or a RSS system. The supported protocols are POP3, SMTP and SSL/TLSv1. If you want to use the program you have to install AmiCygnix v1.0 (or higher) first. Claws Mail and AmiCygnix can be downloaded from the OS4 depot.

Wilfred Bos released a new version (3.00) of ACID 64. With this new version the name has changed to ACID 64 Player Pro and is now only available for HardSID devices. Aros for AmigaOS (AfA) brings the components of AROS to AmigaOS 3. In version 4.4 the following items are changed: Fixed a bug in the screen title if skins are used. NewInstaller shows the pictures correctly. The DeletePool function is improved. AfA_OS_Libs, AfA_Prefs and AfA_OS_Loader are updated. Residentmodul morelibspace_module is added. The zune_lib.exe is updated. The documentation is updated.

D64 Recall is a collection of C16 and Plus/4 software. This time Bushrat made a collection of 380 diskettes. Besides games there are Graphics programs, Viewers, Tools and Recipes.

Merlin is a simple web browser for AmigaOS4 PPC, Amiga 68K, Apple macintosh and Windows made by Arend-Paul Spijkerman. It is a work in progress, CSS and JavaScript are implemented but are not fully working.

SRec is a program for recording videos from your computer screen. It is done entirely in software and requires AmigaOS 4.1+. Features: Records video and audio. Outputs XviD or MJPEG encoded AVI files. Audio stream can be encoded as PCM or MP3. It can produce video 640x480 with 5 fps.

A new version of Scalos is available for Amiga OS3.x/68k, Amiga OS4/PPC and MorphOS/PPC. Scalos is a workbench replacement for the Amiga computer. In this new version lots of bug fixes and improvements.

ProTrekkr is a tracker program combining a software synthesizer together with a traditional samples tracker which can be used to create electronic music. This program is based on the program NoiseTrekker written by Juan Antonio Arguelles Rius. The program can be used to make music for small sized intros, demos or games. The Amiga OS4 version is made by Fredrik Wikstrom. ProTrekkr is also available for Linux, Mac OSX and Windows.

A new update package for AmiKit is available via the AmiKit Live Update program. In this update: AmigaAMP 2.20, bzip2 1.0.5, p7zip 4.65a (and Magellan's menu and 7z filetype), SabreMSN 0.42, vorbistools 1.2.0e, WHDLoad 16.9 and xad_7z 1.9.

A new version (2.0) of ctorrent is available for download. This is a client for the BitTorrent p2p-network. Changes in this version are: New layout, The drag'n'drop issue is fixed, Total download and upload statistics are added, Horizontal resize of window added. To use ctorrent you need AmigaOS4.

SJLOAD is a C64/C64DTV software fast loader. It works with Jiffy-enabled disk drives and uses the Jiffy protocol.
SJLOAD speed is about 15% faster than a normal Jiffy kernal. SJLOAD is loosely based on VDOS by Edward Carroll and improved by 1570.

Jörg Strohmayer released a new version of his web browsers for the Amiga. In this new version: Implemented the context menus for AmigaOS 4.x. Increased the number of items in the pop-up menu. AmigaOS 4.x port of OWB Galekid. The new version can be downloaded from the web page of Jörg.

Kerm1t released a new sprite editor called 7up Sprite Editor v2.0. This sprite editor can be used on a Windows computer to generate sprites for the Commodore C64. New in version 2.0: Load: .sprite. Load and Save: .gif. Animation. Single sprite colors. Different 16 color palette. Copy and Paste. More than 8 sprites and HiRes palette.

SView5 is based on a object orientated module with many classes for processing images. With SView5 you can view, converter and edit images. SView5 is also a screen-grabber, it has ARexx support, GUI, online-help and many external tools. SView5 needs AmigaOS 3.1.0 or better.

MorphOS 2.2 is now available for download. Csaba (Csabo) has released an update for his graphics program. With this program you can draw / edit graphics on a PC (Windows OS) and make a graphics file for the Plus/4. A help-file and the full source code (Delphi 5) is included.

Simple DirectMedia Layer is a cross-platform multimedia library designed to provide low level access to audio, keyboard, mouse, joystick, 3D hardware via OpenGL, and 2D video frame-buffer. SDL can be used to write games and software. This version has been made by Bernd Rösch and it includes substantial improvements compared to previous versions. SDL is available for 68k Amigas.

Jörg Strohmayer released a new version of his web browsers for the Amiga. In this new version: Support for fontkerning. Font sizes are now integers, this makes the spaces between the same characters also the same. Fonthinter is now supported. Fixed some bugs on the ACID3 test. Better rendering optimisations. No more stripes when scrolling with the mouse wheel or window scroll bars. GETTITLE ARexx command is now added.

Arthur Jordison released version 2.0.0 of his program C64PrgGen. In this new version the front-end is completely re-designed. The use of the library is improved. There is now also a 'virtual' memory map of available. C64prgGen (Commodore 64 Program Generator) allows you to type in a BASIC program using a Windows environment and convert it to a .prg file which you can run on an emulator, or even a real C64. The features are : Sprite editor, character editor, Code snippets, Screen Code Buider, Code formatting and renumbering and a Comprehensive help, including tutorials.

In this release the following changes: The version number of exec.library has changed to prevent problems with a number of programs. A bug with the Text-function (negative text length) has been resolved. The buttonclass and imageclass are replaced by AROS Code. The AmigaOS functions RefreshGadgets, RemoveClass, NextObject, DisposeObject, AddClass, FreeClass, MakeClass and NewObjectA are replaced with AROS Code. Documentation is brought up to date. The AfA OS Project was started in November 2005 by Bernd Röschs. The goal of AfA OS is to bring modern features to the AmigaOS since there is no further development for the 68k AmigaOS since OS3.9.

Leif Salomonsson released version 2.0.0 of ECX. The E Compiler X (ECX) project was born in 2002 to replace and improve on the AmigaE language and compiler (EC) created by Wouter van Oortmerssen. ECX is written from scratch in E and compiles itself. It is fast, stable, resource efficient, highly compatible, generates code for multiple targets and adds a considerable amount of new features and improvements.

Jörg Strohmayer released a new version of the OWB internet browser for AmigaOS 4.1. Jörg made the following changes. Added support for openamiga.org extended default mouse pointers. Fixed a bug in the AutoInstall script. Built current versions of libxml2 and libxslt. Added GETURL ARexx command. You need AmigaOS 4.1 for the latest version of OWB.

Wilfred Bos released a new version of his ACID64. Changes in version 2.4: Emulation improvements. STIL info can now be retrieved for a SID file if it is not played from the default HVSC location. When HardSID 4U device is turned off while ACID 64 Player is running and turned on again, playback can continue after song restart. Opening SID files via Internet Explorer is now possible. This makes it possible to play SID tunes via the online SID search of www.hardsid.com.

This is the Ultimate Map from SVS. This Excel file contains the complete OS ROM of the Plus/4 (and C16), a large TED Registers list, graphic plans of all allowed text/graphic modes, and a table of Plus/4 bugs. This xls file can be also be opened with Open Office without problems.

James Carroll released a new AmigaOS 4 version of his Instant Messengers for the MSN chat system. In this release the msn.com e-mail addresses are handled better. Also for AmigaOS 3.x on original systems there is now a "SabreClassic" pack released. In this AmigaOS 3.x version there are special grafix, audio and fonts for the lower resolution screens.

NetSurf is a free, open source web browser. NetSurf has recently been ported to AmigaOS. The AmigaOS (4.x) port is made by Chris Young. There is still lots to do but it displays pages, it can navigate the web and supports multiple windows. Visit the NetSurf web page for more information.

NetBSD/amiga is the port of NetBSD to the Amiga line of personal computers. Currently, NetBSD/amiga runs on any Amiga with Motorola 68020 or better CPU with some form of MMU. The minimum RAM requirement is about 8 MB FASTMEM, the minimum hard disk space needed is about 75 MB. You can download NetBSD from the web page.

There is a new Construction Kit to make Boulderdash caves. It has the following features: No One's Enemy Designer v3.0. Better scroll detection. Grafik optimization. Drive independed so you can use a 1581 or a hard disk. All editors are enhanced or completely rewritten. The ghosts and surprise explosions are replaced by falling walls, acid and boxes. Martin Merz released a new version (4.4) of his "Amiga Image Storage System" (AISS). AISS is a system to use toolbar icons with AmigaOS, AmigaOS 4, AROS and MorphOS. There are more than 500 icons available. There is also a install script and a comprehensive manual available.

ACID 64 is developed by Wilfred Bos and is a cycle based Commodore 64 music player designed for playing SID tunes on sound cards/devices that have a real SID chip (6581/6582/8580) on board.
In version 2.3 the following has been improved: SID reset. Numeric keypad can now be used for short cuts. Added features are: Voice 4 mute/undo mute short cut. Popup menu for selecting sub tunes. Fixed in this version are: Digi playback on ISA/PCI cards has no more timing problems. Window size and position startup option is now shown correctly.
